Alchemist (cont.)

Sleeping under the stars one night with his flock he has a dream that a child transports him to the Egyptian Pyramids and tells him he’ll find a buried treasure there. Santiago is willing to take a chance and decides to pay a Gypsy in the next town to interpret his dream. She tells him that his dream is in the language of the world, and if he goes to the Pyramids he’ll find a great treasure there. Santiago is irritated and decides he’s not going to believe in dreams anymore. He didn’t need to waste his time on the Gypsy with a lousy interpretation. Later that day he’s in town reading and trying to forget he even had a dream when an old man begins to speak with him. Santiago tries to ignore him but the man just won’t let up. Finally the man tells him that if Santiago gives him 1/10 of his sheep, he’ll tell him how to find the hidden treasure. Stay tuned for more!

CHAPTER 1

Santiago guides his flock throughout the fields of Andalusia. He finds an old abandoned church and churchyard where he and his flock can spend the night. He sleeps on the stone floor using his book as a pillow. He anticipates his approach the Andalusian village where, one year prior, he met a merchant's daughter. Santiago and his flock approach the town; he has been herding this flock for two years. He often reflects about what he has learned from his sheep and what they have learned from him. He observes that the sheep depend fully on him to lead them to food and water. Not having to forage food for themselves, they have forgotten their instincts.
So I chose to read “The alchemist”. I heard it’s an awesome book, so I’m excited to read it. It’s not that long, it’s about 150 pages or so, so it won’t take forever to finish. It’s basically about a young Sheppard who goes on a journey trying to find out his own personal legend. Through a bunch of life experiences and omens that he encounters on his expedition he realizes what his true personal legend is.

IM FINISHED!!!

I'm finally done with Twilight! Everyone is happy again; Bella turns out in the hospital because she is in very bad conditions. Her mother meets Edward, and can already see in their eyes that they are in love. Bella gets a little upset, because she wants to be a vampire, but Edward would never put her in that position. The story basically ends with Bella in the hospital room with Edward, and he explains some things that were left unsaid throughout the book. It was pretty good, I want to read “moonlight”, but it will take too long, so you will find out my next book in the next blog. Stay tuned

The Cullen’s eventually lose track of the bad vampire, and he’s not too far from Bella. He actually relocated himself to Bella’s home town, exactly where she was located. He had called Alice’s phone pretending to be Bella’s mother. He conspicuously tells her that he has her mother captive, and the only way to prevent her from dying is to meet him in Bella’s old dance studio. Bella being so ignorant, falls into his trap, escapes from the hold of Jasper and Alice, and meets up with the bad vampire. When she walks in, we find out that the vampire really did not have her mom captive; he was just playing an old tape recording of her voice. The vampire then reveals the truth about the secret Alice has been keeping, of how she turned into a vampire. Bella thereafter gets bitten by the vampire, and thrown against the room, so she’s practically dying, but Edward comes and saves the day. The only thing he can do is suck the venom out of her, if not she would turn into a vampire. So he does, and even though it was very tempting for him to just continue to suck her blood and kill her, he doesn’t, which showed a trustworthy and lovable Edward

ALMOST DONE

I will now summarize about 2-3 chapters in 1 blog post. Bella is being chased by this bad vampire. He wants to hunt her down and kill her, and he’s known to never give up. It states in the book that he likes challenging himself with his human victims, and he’s not going to surrender until she is dead. So of course Edward has to be over protective, he says she has to leave town as soon as possible to get away, while he plans to kill him. Bella goes home very quick to get a few bags, exactly 15 minutes was she allowed, she was forced to tell her father that she hated Forks and wanted to go back home that exact night. Although he does not know what is going on, he lets her go. Bella stays in a hotel with Jasper and Alice, while Edward and his dad Carlisle lead the “tracker” away from Bella
